In the chorus contest of revolutionary songs to celebrate July the First, the Yangtze River people voice their incomparable love for the Communist Party, the great motherland and the group through their heartfelt songs.

For the Party committee of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group, the ideological and political work is the lifeline of economic work in the charge of the Party, government, labor union and Youth League at the same time. In the recruitment process every year, the department of personnel makes the ideological and political education the first course in the pre-work training of recruits. However preoccupied he may be, President Xu Jingren will spare some time to teach the course well. Without the Communist Party, there would be no new China and without the new China, there would be no Yangtze River today. Therefore, the Yangtze River people have a profound understanding of ¡°bearing in mind the source when drinking from a stream¡±, especially ¡°thinking of the source when getting rich¡±. They have carried out the national drug donation activities to the people¡¯s army on the Army Day since 1997. Its distribution companies all over the country donate drugs and air-conditioners, etc. to the local troops or army hospitals to extend the heartfelt appreciation and sublime reverence for the ¡°Iron-and-Steel Great Wall¡± of the country. On the eve of the 1999 National Day, the Party committee of the group held the 50th National Day Celebration and Entertainment Show at the open square and invited the famous singer Yang Hongji to extol the motherland and the Communist Party. At the 80th anniversary of the Communist Party of China, Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group held various celebration activities to express its gratitude for the Party. The Party committee of the group organized more than 60 representatives of demobilized servicemen, old Party members, Youth League members and university undergraduates respectively to receive the education concerning the Party¡¯s history at the PLA Navy Birthplace Memorial, the Cemetery of Revolutionary Martyr Yang Gensi and the Huangqiao Battle Memorial, etc. at Baima Town, Taizhou. Meanwhile, 20 new members made a solemn pledge to join the Party at the Cemetery of Revolutionary Martyr Yang Gensi. Remembrance of the revolutionary martyrs has evoked in the Yangtze River people love for the Party and the motherland as well as great enthusiasm to serve the country with industrial development. In fact, they cherish the uneasily earned stability and solidarity even more deeply.

Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group is wide aware that the construction of corporate culture is the efficient media of the cultivation of the staff featuring lofty idea, moral integrity, good education and a strong sense of discipline as well as the efficient means of better building the staff¡¯s homestead. To construct the top hardware facilities for cultural activities, the group invested RMB20 million in the construction of the Staff¡¯s Home, covering an area of 10,280m2. It includes Staff¡¯s Canteen, Snooker Room, Table Tennis Room, Chess and Card Room, Reading Room, Audiovisual Room, Ballroom, Fitness Room and Bathroom, etc. and integrates such service functions as dining, bathing, study, recreation, entertainment and sports. The Staff¡¯s Home equipped with the top hardware facilities at home has now been appraised as the Model Staff Home of Jiangsu Province by the provincial general labor union and become a major site for the labor union to hold cultural and sports activities. For the purpose of enriching the extracurricular cultural life of the staff, the group has organized more than ten interest teams such as dance team, cuisine team, football association and basketball association and hosted activities concerning article solicitation, paintings and calligraphy, folk photography exhibition and entertainment. The labor union takes advantages of various festivals to hold Spring Festival Evening, May 1st Golden Week Activity Series, July 1st Chorus Contest, August 1st Joint Drilling and Martial Arts Competition, National Day Funfest and Staff¡¯s Charisma Contest as well as speech contests, knowledge contests and staff sports meets, etc. These healthy, popular cultural and sports activities adapted to the youths¡¯ characteristics have a sublime taste and promote the corporate culture.

The colorful cultural and sports activities fill the Yangtze River people with life and vigor.
